Itinerary

Day 1:  Arrive into Cusco – spend 2 days exploring this beautiful and ancient city.

Overnight Palacio Nazarenas – This beautiful hotel is brand new, all suites and has the only pool in Cusco!

Day 3:  Journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Detailed Itinerary Days 1 and 2:
Arrive in Cusco, relax from your flight and enjoy this ancient yet thriving city. You can adjust to the altutude while exploring the narrow cobblestone streets as you learn about the fascinating Incan and Spanish history in the city. Visit markets, galleries, boutiques, artisan workshops and of course the best in dining. 
Overnight Palacio Nazarenas

Days 3 and 4:
Journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Lunch is at your hotel before taking an afternoon tour by ATV (all-terrain vehicle) to Chico Gorge, Urubamba and the ruins of Huayna Capac Palace.
Visit an Andean village with beautiful mountain views. If desired, attend a workshop in traditional weaving before lunching at Hacienda Huayoccari with its collection of colonial and folk art. Alternatively, you can enjoy a day of white water rafting and horse treking, visiting salt pans and lively market towns.

Day 5:
Board the Vistadome train to Machu Picchu and enjoy a private guided tour of the mountaintop citadel of the Incas. Staying overnight here is a real plus as you will be afforded the priviledge of seeing the sun rise over the ancient city before the tour buses arrive.

Day 6:
Rise early to hike to the famous Inti Punku (Sun Gate) or up the Huayna Picchu mountain. These short hikes inlcude trails that are clinging to the side of mountains where views are spellbinding. Return for a leisurely breakfast.

Board the luxurious Hiram Bingham train to Cuzco. The Hiram Bingham train is the most luxurious way to journey between Machu Picchu and Cusco. For many visitors a trip to Machu Picchu is a once in a lifetime experience, and the Hiram Bingham assures a magical journey, never to be forgotten.

The Hiram Bingham is named after the explorer who discovered the fascinating remains of the Inca citadel, Machu Picchu on July 23rd 1911. The carriages are painted a distinctive blue and gold and the interiors are luxurious, warm and inviting with elegant decoration in the style of the 1920's Pullman trains.

As passengers step on board they are surrounded by a world of polished wood, gleaming cutlery and glittering crystal.

The train is composed of two dining cars, an observation bar car and a kitchen car, and can carry up to 84 passengers.

Day 7:
Morning of leisure at this fantastic hotel.  Cuzco is the capital of the Inca Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour the cathedral of the Plaza de Armas and the Koricancha complex, a Dominican church and convent on the site of the Incas principal religious building. Also visit the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman.
