Drive into the hotel entrance under the porte-cochere and you'll be greeted by a very friendly well outfitted and attentive young bell staff. Walk inside and you'll be wowed by the design and sophistication. The bar at the Viceroy is hands down, the most beautiful one in the valley. The Mixologist’s (bartenders) are as good as you’ll find anywhere. Best Moscow Mule I ever drank. Now-a-days your likely to see beautiful moms and dads partying with beautiful moms and moms and dads and dads while their kids are happily entertaining each other not too far away.
Viceroy Snowmass is an impressive structure even from a distance. Sitting in the middle of the majestic Rockies it resembles a huge fortress that could just as easily fit in the Himalayas as it does here. The hotels 173 unique accommodations designed by Jean-Michel Gathy have a Rocky Mountain meets Zen feeling. Many are equipped with gas fireplaces, private sundecks, convenience or full kitchens with premium appliances and baths with deep soaking tubs. The one-bedrooms and up even have washers and dryers. All have high definition flat screen TV’s with on-demand programming and audio system with IPOD docks.
This may sound like just another upscale condo in the Rockies but rest assured, this is a full service luxury hotel. Viceroy Snowmass offers 24 hr room service, nightly turndown, gourmet dining at restaurant 8K. The glam pool side café is decorated as an outdoor living room. Pool cabanas which are more often seen in South Beach work quite well here.
The spa is 7,000 square feet. Located beyond a dramatic custom-designed brass gate, it offers a selection of holistic wellness experiences, from Ute Indian-inspired therapies to contemporary beauty rituals. A meditative relaxation lounge, awash in the soothing sound of falling water from an infinity pool and waterfall, centers the spa. A comprehensive fitness center adjacent to the spa includes the latest cardiovascular and strength training equipment. Personal training, coaching and sports therapy are available by appointment.
