Topping Rose House
Built in 1842 for our namesake, the honorable Judge Abraham Topping Rose, Topping Rose House stands at a vital crossroads in the Hamptons community, where Montauk Highway and Sag Harbor Turnpike meet. By 1870, this sleepy farming village was transformed by the extension of the Long Island Railroad to a summer vacation spot for city dwellers. Today, the Hamptons are a year-round destination with a robust community and stunning country landscape. Famed pristine beaches, renowned vineyards, vibrant art and miles of hiking trails provide plenty to explore in any season.
Approximately 100 miles from New York City on the East End of Long Island, Topping Rose House is ideally situated within walking distance of boutiques, art galleries and cafés. Topping Rose House is the Hamptons' first full-service luxury hotel featuring 22 elegantly appointed guestrooms in the House, Studio and Cottages as well as a Spa by local wellness center Naturopathica, fitness center, heated outdoor pool, complimentary bicycles, as well as complimentary welcome snacks and wifi. House vehicles from Lexus, and a complimentary shuttle to the beautiful beaches and local attractions in Bridgehampton. Winston Wächter Fine Art curated an exciting collection of contemporary art throughout the property.
While varied in location and aesthetic, accommodations at Hamptons luxury hotel Topping Rose House are equally elegant. All accommodations feature plush bedding with linen by Frette, bathtowels by Matouk, bathrobes by Chadsworth & Haig, and bath amenities by Naturopathica. Each room is anchored by Madeline Weinrib's uniquely designed rugs. Customizable minibars give guests the luxury of their own private pantry, while flat-screen televisions and iPod docks ensure access to the latest movies and music. Additionally, all 22-rooms include their own luxury private bath, daily house-housekeeping services, and 24-hour room service.
Open year-round, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily at Topping Rose House, with brunch served on the weekend. A wrap-around porch, open seasonally, leads to the 25-seat Bar Room, a welcoming place for a drink and a bite. Guests can sit at the aqua lacquered bar or lounge beside one of the two original fireplaces. A mix of contemporary and traditional elements creates an inviting yet modern feel in the 50-seat dining room.
