San Pedro de Atacama is an oasis in the Atacama Desert located in northern Chile. Tierra Atacama is a 15 minute walk to the center of the village of San Pedro. San Pedro is a 1 hour drive from Calama airport which is a 2 hour flight from Santiago, Chile. Altitude is 2,400m. San Pedro is a great year around destination.

The hotel has 32 rooms styled with Atacameñan details. 16 “Oriente” rooms have terraces with volcano views as well as bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers. 14 “Poniente” rooms have bathrooms with bathtubs and showers as well as terraces with views of the gardens and Salt Mountains. Two family rooms sleep up to six with one master bedroom and two rooms with two twin beds and their own bathrooms. All rooms feature mountain and volcano views, private terrace, outdoor shower,hairdryer, central heating, air conditioning,ceiling fan, telephone and safe deposit box.
Chefs at Tierra Atacama use local ingredients prepared in a style that considers health conscious yet hungry guests. The wine list is extensive, including boutique and organic wines, and guests have the opportunity to sample different varieties according to their choice of menu. The bar serves a wide variety of drinks,including old favorites as well as Chilean standards like the pisco sour plus fun twists like pisco sours with chili, ginger or mango.
