The St. Regis Osaka
Designed by famed Japanese architect firm Nikken Sekkei, The St Regis Osaka stands 27 stories above Midosuji Avenue, known as Osaka’s Champs-Elysées. Opened in October 2010, The St. Regis Osaka is the first international luxury hotel to open in the city in 13 years.
Midosuji Avenue has a long history and is considered a symbol of the urban infrastructure development history of Osaka during the period from the end of the Taisho Era (1925) to the end of the Showa Era (1989). Since those days, the avenue has been expanded and electrical cables have been buried to preserve the streetscape. Midosuji Avenue, lined with beautiful Gingko trees, is now designated as one of the Best 100 Osaka Green Spaces and is also a designated cultural property in Osaka.
Rich with an intriguing history as an ancient meeting location, then a bustling trading port, Osaka has developed into Japan’s second-largest city—an international commercial and economic center offering a vibrant mix of business, entertainment, culture, and history. Set in an exclusive location on tree-lined Midosuji Avenue, Osaka’s Champs-Elysées, The St. Regis Osaka occupies the most prestigious address in this richly textured, cosmopolitan city, and is minutes away from exclusive fashion boutiques, galleries, and sophisticated restaurants and cafés.
Just minutes from the hotel, one of Osaka’s most famous historic attractions is the stunning Osaka Castle, which was reconstructed after World War II with pure white walls and glittering gold relief. Also nearby is a fascinating array of museums—such as the Municipal Museum of Fine Art and the Osaka Museum of History—for guests to gain a unique insight into this ancient city.
Business travelers will find numerous multinational corporations in this economic hub. A short walk from the hotel is Osaka’s most exclusive shopping thoroughfare—Midosuji Boulevard—offering a collection of iconic luxury brand boutiques. Osaka is renowned for its distinct cuisine, such as okonomiyaki, and there are numerous sophisticated dining options and uniquely eclectic gourmet experiences in close proximity.
For the more adventurous, the Nanba district awaits. Just 15 minutes away by foot, its jovial atmosphere features thousands of restaurants, bars, and entertainment hotspots.
The St. Regis Osaka exemplifies the warm hospitality of Japan’s service culture with attentive, personal service. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by our Crystal Tree, inspired by the beautiful palm trees surrounding the city and your St. Regis Butler awaits to receive your arrival with refreshments. The Ronnefeldt Teastar Collection, selected from top teas in the word and blended by tea experts, is served and offered to suit the season.
Indulgences are found throughout the hotel, from pampering and revitalization in the exquisite IRIDIUM featuring SOTHYS spa, to state-of-the-art machines in our well-equipped 24-hour Exercise Room. Guests may conduct business with confidence and ease through our Business Center. And at the end of the day, take in stunning views of the Osaka skyline while enjoying cocktails at The St. Regis Bar on the 12th-level lobby floor.
The St. Regis Butler stands ready to assist at any time of the day with your every desire. Our 24-hour Concierge Desk and knowledgeable staff meets guests’ every need or request with consummate efficiency and care.
The St. Regis Osaka's 160 guest rooms and suites are the most expansive and luxuriously appointed living spaces in Osaka, each with a uniquely stylish, comfortable aesthetic.
Guest rooms are appointed with state-of- the-art amenities including 42-inch HDTVs, Pioneer Blu-ray DVD/CD players and radios, walk-in closets, and bathrooms with Japanese style bathtubs and rainforest showers with IRIDIUM featuring SOTHYS bath amenities.
The finest finishes, carefully selected art and ceramics, and Kyoto silks accentuate the contemporary interiors. Sumptuous pillow-top beds are adorned with 300-thread-count sheets and headboards are made of beautiful Kawashima silk, showing motifs of gingko and cherry blossom, symbols of Osaka and Japan. And of course, St. Regis Butler Service, a treasured hallmark of every visit, fulfills every guest’s desire.
Unique dining experiences are the hallmarks of our two exclusive restaurants. Rue d’Or features classically inspired French bistro cuisine and ambience with a contemporary twist. At La Veduta, discerning diners can savor the innovative delights of a Northern Italian grill. The grand St. Regis Bar offers an artful, luxurious destination with a view for sophisticated cocktails and small plates.
