The Cloister at Sea Island

Sea Island is a private, five-mile-long coastal Georgia resort island surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the east and separated from St. Simons Island by wide salt marshes on the west.  It lies halfway between Savannah, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida and is a one-hour drive from both cities' airports.  Just four miles away, McKinnon Airport on St. Simons Island welcomes private aircraft and about 14 miles away, Delta serves the Brunswick/Glynco Airport through its partner, Atlantic Southeast Airlines. Transportation is readily available from all area airports.

A graceful and naturally beautiful retreat, The Cloister features 195 guest rooms and suites, in a variety of styles offering tremendous choice and flexibility for couples, families, business groups, extended families and circles of friends who may be visiting simultaneously.  Sea Island features award-winning golf, spa, tennis, a private beach, gourmet dining, children's programs, a shooting school, yachting, fishing and more.  Rates quoted are European plan.

Guests of The Lodge and The Cloister have equal access to all the Sea Island facilities with full signing privileges.

Dining options at Sea Island highlight internationally influenced American cuisine in a variety of settings. Dining experiences range from a romantic evening of elegant, full-course dining to a casual outdoor lunch overlooking the ocean. Reservations are strongly recommended for dinner to ensure guests' first choices.

Recreational activities include 54 holes of extraordinary championship golf, 8 Har-Tru, fast-dry clay composition tennis courts including eight lighted courts and a full-service tennis program, The Cloister Spa, watersports, horseback riding, bicycling, a Shooting School, Fishing School, children's activities and dancing.
