Mystique is the luxury five star hotel on Santorini for the sophisticated jet setter but not if their traveling with children. No children under 14 are permitted. Amazing views can be enjoyed from virtually any corner of this Cliffside hotel which makes it easily one of the best places to hang during the day. Arriving guests are greeted with champagne in the reception occupying a small house at the upper end of the complex.

Secret Wine Cave is Mystique’s dramatic wine cellar with the most rare and indigenous wine selection. As the sun sets, experience wine tasting and prepare for a perfect dinner in a haven of tactile treasures. Spend the day beneath the clear blue sky in Mystique’s outdoor infinity-edge pool. Slatted wooden decks that lead to the plunge pool are surrounded by sun beds for the utmost relaxation. Mystique is a natural, exclusive retreat reserved for only the most discerning of travelers.
Charisma restaurant at Mystique serves Greek and Mediterranean specialties and the bar servicing the rather smallish pool with plenty of sun loungers. Dug into the rock is a hidden wine cellar that can be used for private dinners. The hotel hosts wedding ceremonies and parties for as many as 20 people.
There are a total of 18 cavernous open-plan suites and villas at Mystique, all of them with a contemporary minimal decor. Most original are the beds with the headboards made of tree branches. Amenities at Mystique range from indoor seating space, cordless phones and minibars to cozy sun beds and dining tables on the terrace overlooking the Caldera. The large flat-screen TVs offer Internet access and guests can borrow DVDs and CDs to enjoy in their rooms. Baths at Mystique are well equipped with adobe-style whirlpool tubs, separate shower stalls, unusual wood-framed mirrors, double sinks, scales, phone extensions and upscale toiletries.
Guests at Mystique may use the recreational facilities of the sibling hotel Vedema or ask for an in-room massage. They are also offered free airport and port transfers and can use the hotel's private parking lot, a great luxury in a crowded place like Oia.
Some suites and villas at Mystique have the added advantage of a private gym comprising a stationary bike, a power plate, a treadmill, free weights and a massage bed. A few even have an outdoor whirlpool. Wine and snacks are offered to arriving guests, fruit and mineral water are replenished daily. Room service is provided around the clock. The hotel operates between April and October. The Mystique may not feature the range of amenities of its sibling Vedema, however it has the dramatic vistas and the romantic atmosphere that most visitors expect during their stay on Santorini.
