Le Toiny
Hotel Le Toiny with its 15 luxury Villa Suites on 42 acres at Anse de Toiny on the island of St. Barth first opened it’s doors on November 1, 1992 and was recently acquired by the current owners Charlie and Mandie Vere Nicoll in early 2015.
Le Toiny’s 15 Villa Suites are comprised of 13 one-bedroom Villa Suites; 1 Junior Suite and La Villa, a 3 bedroom Villa that includes a master suite and two bungalows. All accommodations offer breathtaking ocean views with a private heated pool.
In the summer of 2015 a multi-million dollar renovation updated the property’s 15 accommodations and pubic spaces to a clean “coastal chic” aesthetic and the landscaping of the Toiny beach marked the addition of the highly anticipated Toiny Beach Club.
Hôtel Le Toiny is located in an area on the island that is still undeveloped, thus the landscape around the hotel is perfectly preserved with an abundance of lush natural vegetation.
Guests of Hôtel Le Toiny also have access to the hotel’s Serenity Spa Cottage and fitness centre.
All villas have been updated to a chic colour palette of sandy beige, bright white, warm brown and driftwood gray, reminiscent of St Barths’ iconic beaches. Bleached wood-inspired floors, fine Belgian linens, textured accessories and handmade furnishings finish the comfortable spaces. Hôtel Le Toiny provides light and breezy interiors, which are stylish yet unfussy, maximum sea views and the privacy and seclusion much sought after in luxury hotel accommodations. The Spacious living area flows directly into the bedroom, which in turn lead to large, well-appointed bathrooms. Each villa includes beach chairs and umbrellas. Modern luxury conveniences include WiFi capabilities, 40-inch satellite plasma televisions, an iPod® station, iPod music library and a Nespresso™ machine.
The 2015 renovation program included a complete refurbishment of all the public spaces, including the restaurant and reception with the addition of a cozy, chic library, open-air oyster shell bar and a relaxing champagne seating area.
The hotel’s secluded beach has been refurbished and landscaped and features a coconut grove, tamarind field and pineapple orchard offering a “full beach service” to hotel guests and non-guests alike with a small bar and beach loungers in the shade of the “paillottes”. The beach is accessible by hotel shuttle.
Surrounded by beautiful landscaping, La Villa, Hôtel Le Toiny’s largest suite (measuring 1215 sq. ft. interior surface and 5900 sq. ft. total surface) occupies the most private portion of the property, boasting a master villa and two smaller bungalows. The master villa’s spacious interior, with vaulted ceiling includes a large living room with comfortable sofa, bespoke stools, armchair and lamps and chunky textured cushions, desk, dining area, full kitchen corner and a bedroom. The bathroom, lavishly appointed in black marble, is highlighted by a Jacuzzi tub. Large opening bay windows lead to an expansive terrace with a spectacular ocean view and secluded private pool (12x25 ft.). Located steps from the master villa are the two bungalows: one contains a queen bed; the second offers two twin beds, and both include adjoining bathrooms with open shower, dual wash basins and Italian tile.
Each of the fourteen one-bedroom Villa Suites (measuring 785 sq. ft. interior and 1775 sq. ft. total surface) and one Junior Suite (720 sq. ft. interior and 1615 sq. ft. total surface) is completely secluded, offering an ideal balance of privacy and luxury. Living and bedroom areas are separated by sliding partitions (with the exception of the Junior Suite, which is one large room) with large bay windows throughout the villas offering Caribbean views. Each Villa’s interior features a desk, kitchenette and a full-size sofa, bespoke stools, armchair and fabrics. Adjoining bathrooms are spacious, with a bath, open shower, dual basins and Italian tile. Each Villa includes an expansive terrace with a private pool. One Villa Suite is handicap-accessible, with widened doors, a lower bed, ramps throughout and easy access to the main house and restaurant.

Under the watchful eye of Executive Chef Fabio, the restaurant offers simple yet elegant cuisine. Widely considered the best dining venue on St. Barth, the restaurant has been completely redesigned and refurbished during the summer of 2015 with a clean “coastal chic” aesthetic. The calm palette features neutral tones and fine natural materials inspired by the island, including petrified wood, mother of pearl, soft fabrics and sun-bleached teak. The design has been accented with crisp pops of blue in bold patterns, in a nod to the hotel’s magnificent location overlooking the Caribbean Sea..
A new open-air oyster shell bar, cozy corners of seating and a champagne sitting area, ideal for pre-dinner aperitifs, give a relaxed and intimate feeling to Le Toiny’s restaurant, every meal is an opportunity to indulge, both in delectable cuisine and in breathtaking views overlooking the hotel’s infinity pool and the Caribbean Sea.
In addition to its new look, Le Toiny Restaurant has a new dining concept. World-influenced, contemporary cuisine created under Chef Fabio’s direction, include a new menu for lunch using fresh local produce where possible, offering simple salads, a raw fish bar of ceviche and tartar, grilled local fish of Mahi-mahi and red snapper, lobster, shrimp and meats cooked on an outdoor barbeque and a new dinner menu for St Barth chic dining with classic offerings such as the Restaurant’s signature dish, spaghetti with black truffles, prepared tableside in a wheel of parmesan cheese.
