Hotel Belles Rives
The former home of F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife, the Hôtel Belles Rives is elegantly situated above the colorful Mediterranean Sea, in the seaside town of Juan les Pins, located in Cap d’ Antibes. The Art Deco mansion embodies its seaside home with blue and white stripes and furnishings to reflect the hotel’s 1930s glamour. Guests are privy to the retreat’s private beach and abundance of water activities, gourmet dining and sophisticated cocktail scene. Yoric Tièche, Executive Chef of La Passagère has been awarded his first star for the 2016 Michelin Guide. This rewarding achievement is an extraordinary recognition for 39-year-old Chef Yoric after accepting the position in 2013 from the owner of Hotel Belles Rives, Marianne Estène – Chauvin.
Yoric has brilliantly orchestrated the gourmet restaurant, La Passagère, a legendary seafront address on the French Riviera, as well as the Bistrot Terrace, the restaurant of the Hotel Juana. Chef Yoric’s experience, includes leading the culinary team at the Hotel Meurice Paris, where he served as Deputy Chief of the kitchen with Yannick Alleno.
Since his arrival at La Passagère, Yoric has been credited with creating the restaurant’s signature menu, “Grand Bleu”, featuring local seafood. The Mediterranean-themed menu features a perfect combination of subtle and satisfying cuisine using treasures of the sea and select local spices. Chef Yoric has elegantly refined menu by incorporating his experience from many trips abroad.
La Passagère will reopen in early March after two months of extensive renovation, totaling approximately 500,000 euros. Chef Yoric’s masterful creations will now be presented in an amazing new setting, helping to enhance each guest’s experience. The Michelin Star is a definite recognition of his undeniable talent and he proudly moves forward in the coveted circle of Grand Chefs.
