The first official record of the "Three Kings" as a guest house dates back to 1681; in 1844, it was completely rebuilt as a grand hotel. The hotel has a wealth of history. Chez Donati is a piece of Italy - yet only a few steps away from Les Trois Rois. For fifty years, the restaurant has been Basel's embodiment of Piedmont culinary culture, a popular artists' rendezvous and famous far and wide for its fine fare, Murano chandeliers and contemporary art. As well as classic fare on main menu card, we also serve regularly changing seasonal dishes.

The pleasantly relaxed atmosphere together with the traditional French and Swiss brasserie specialties make this restaurant an all-day favorite.
