Four Seasons Sydney
Stunningly situated on Sydney Harbour, the Four Seasons Sydney overlooks the famous Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Located in the historic Rocks area, the Four Seasons Sydney is a short walk away from Sydney’s major shopping and business districts.
Public rooms at Four Seasons Sydney, including the three-story atrium, are thoughtfully appointed with paneling, fine art and thick wool carpeting. Ample custom seating, including a whimsical Victorian-inspired ottoman, creates a comfortable setting in the lobby.
A casual brasserie complements the recently restyled fine-dining room, which now boasts a local celebrity chef who prepares contemporary Australian cuisine. A refined tea is served in the mezzanine lounge overlooking the lobby, and the ground-floor piano lounge bar is a popular rendezvous.
The Harbour Bridge views from the small but well-furnished pool deck are seductive. Although the bar and little cabana restaurant at Four Seasons Sydney close in winter, the heated outdoor pool stays open-this is one of just a small handful of hotels to offer an outdoor pool, and it is the only one with views this memorable. The health club provides a gym, sauna, massage room and spa for beauty treatments and a shop dispenses both requisites and luxuries.
The guest rooms at Four Seasons Sydney begin on the sixth floor. These units are beautifully decorated in subdued colors and boast varied but uniformly stylish furniture with French art-deco accents, blackout drapes over double-glazed windows, sofas, coffee tables and desks with high-speed Internet access. Standard amenities include phones, data ports, fax machines, TVs, minibars and ample closets. King beds are usual, but oversized twins are available, and down pillows top them all. Phones, robes, scales, hair dryers and lighted mirrors mark the marble baths. Some have tubs and stall showers, and others, shower-tub combinations. Most rooms boast classic views of the harbor and opera house. The premium floor offers the usual perks, plus unlimited garment pressings. Guests with disabilities are particularly well catered for with four specialized rooms, all with city views. All but four floors are smoke-free.
For dining at Four Seasons Sydney, Kable’s has gained an international reputation for fresh seafood and Australian regional specialities - matched by a cellar amply stocked with Australia’s finest boutique wines; The Café, on a balcony overlooking the lobby, delights with casual all-day dining and traditional afternoon tea; The Bar offers refreshments and light snacks; and The Cabana, located on the pool deck, is open for snacks, lunch and cocktails.
Additional services at Four Seasons Sydney include 24-hour room service, 24-hour Business Centre and services, 24-hour Concierge service, valet parking, babysitting, butler and car service, laundry/dry cleaning and over 13,800 square feet of meeting and function space.
