Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire Hotel
The Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, perfectly positioned at the corner of Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Boulevard, celebrates over 75 years of service and style befitting royalty, celebrities and discerning travelers.
The hotel brims with history. The main lobby in the 1928 Italian Renaissance structure has four squared pillars supporting a high classical ceiling. A chandelier hangs over an elaborate flower display centered on the circular marble inlay floor. The lobby lounge faces one of the city's most famous corners. This lounge also serves as one of the cities popular places to have afternoon tea, desserts and a three-course prix fixe dinner. If your in the mood for steak, chef Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant “Cut” is also well regarded.
The recreational options include a gym, spa, and a pool. The spa is one of the more stylish facilities around and actually has a good local following
At 400 square feet, even the standard (Superior) guest quarters are oversized. Thick carpeting and quality fabrics complement contemporary decor. Italian marble baths have large counters, glassed-in showers, soaking tubs and dressing areas. Three multi-line phones, wired and wireless Internet access, large-screen plasma TVs, MP3-compatible stereos and laptop-sized safes are standard. Rooms facing south are quietest (though all windows are double-glazed), and upper floors afford good views.
The Beverly and Wilshire wings connect via a second-floor skywalk. The newer, taller Beverly wing has the superior and deluxe rooms, with those on the upper four floors adding balconies. Rooms in the original Wilshire building are larger. Some have two baths, but none has a balcony. The Veranda Suite on the top floor of the Wilshire building was Warren Beatty's home for many years.
