Four Seasons Atlanta
The Four Seasons Atlanta lends new distinction to the time-honored tradition of southern hospitality, in a vibrant, sophisticated city that has been called the capital of the ‘New South.’
The accommodations are amongst the finest in Georgia. They are resplendent in warm earth tones, with comfortable settees in the common areas, and 36-inch flat-screen TVs sit atop attractive custom-built marble top bureaus. Signature Four Seasons bathrooms include a deep bathtub and separate glass-enclosed shower.
Looking down on midtown Atlanta from the 19th floor is the spacious Presidential Suite. Opulent yet comfortable, it features a full kitchen, a dining room that can accommodate up to ten guests, and a living room with a working desk, sofa, armchairs, and an entertainment system with a 42-inch plasma screen TV, VCR, DVD, and CD player. The elegant master bathroom has a full-sized jetted tub, a walk-in marble shower, and two separate marble vanities. Also of note are the Terrace Rooms, which feature private terraces overlooking midtown and downtown Atlanta.
The new spa is a great addition that is gaining popularity not only amongst the hotel’s guests, but also with Atlanta’s most discerning residents. There are nine private treatment rooms that have been soundproofed to ensure utmost luxury, and the menu consists of decadent treatments like magnolia-scented manicures and a full-body pomegranate polish. Complementary fresh fruits and juice are available in the quiet room where guests can relax before and after their treatments. Guests can also sunbathe on the spa’s sun terrace, or take advantage of one of the best hotel gyms in Atlanta. The fitness center features an extensive range of free weights and cardiovascular equipment, plus a sauna and a whirlpool. Meanwhile, the beautiful saline indoor pool is set amongst a pristine neoclassical setting.
Classic meets contemporary at Park 75, the Four Seasons Atlanta’s restaurant, where executive chef Robert Gerstenecker uses the finest seasonal ingredients from Atlanta and around the globe to create delicious gourmet fare. Up to ten guests can be accommodated at the ‘Chef’s Table,’ a hands-on experience in the heart of the kitchen. The extensive wine list focuses on American varietals and features many selections from small, boutique labels that you won’t find at just any restaurant.
The Four Seasons Atlanta is just three blocks away from the High Museum of Art. This gem of a museum is currently partnering with the Louvre, to showcase some of the renowned Paris museums exhibits. Designed by Renzo Piano, it also features a great selection of work by contemporary artists and folk art from the south. Don’t miss the tremendously popular Georgia Aquarium, which has attracted over 5 million visitors in its first year and a half of operation. The tank featuring a family of rare beluga whales is an awe-inspiring site. Right next door is the World of Coca Cola, a sort of museum/shrine to a company that is ubiquitous in American pop culture. Here, you can view works by Andy Warhol and sample different varieties of this celebrated soft drink from all corners of the world. Another highlight is Zoo Atlanta, which is home to a group of baby Giant Pandas. The hotel is located in Midtown, which is a thriving business district with great restaurants, fashionable boutiques, and even historical buildings throughout. Midtown is the setting for the city’s most prominent cultural institutions, including the aforementioned High Museum, the Alliance Theatre and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Expansive green spaces include Piedmont Park – the crown jewel of Atlanta’s parks, reminiscent of New York’s Central Park – and the famed Botanical Garden. Here, Georgia’s abundant sunshine gently permeates through a lush landscape of flowers and shade trees.
