Colca Canyon, located in Southern Peru is one of the deepest canyons in the world at 10,725 ft and runs a distance of over 100 kilometres. The Colca Canyon is made even more remarkable as it sits high in the Andes, 3260 metres above sea level. Las Casitas del Colca is a twenty four hectare property in the Canyon, situated on the left bank of the Colca River one hundred miles north of Arequipa, the 'white city' situated close to the colonial village of Yanque and just five miles from the village of Chivay.

There are twenty individual luxury casitas dotted throughout the property, including one Presidential Casita. Decorated in the local style, these casitas offer supreme luxury in beautiful natural surroundings. Each casita measures approximately 120 metres square, of which 80 metres square is indoor space. Casitas boast a foyer, and a lounge and sleeping area. Bathrooms are reached through the dressing area, and are truly luxurious with double sinks and both indoor and outdoor showers allowing you a real 'back to nature' experience of showering under the open sky. Floors are laid with marble and each bathroom also features a bathtub located under a glass roof, allowing guests to lie back and gaze up at the stars in the night sky.
There is an extensive vegetable garden on the property where organic produce is grown for our kitchens. With five natural greenhouses, a prickly pear orchard and numerous vegetable beds this is a delight for gardeners and food lovers alike. Our small farm is also located on the property and houses a number of animals from horses, cows and llamas to baby alpacas. The Restaurant is located in the main building on the property. Food for the restaurant is grown by the property's own farm, which allows you to select the ingredients for your meal directly from the fields. The unique open plan kitchen means that you can watch as the chefs prepare your food. The Lobby Bar is an ideal place to relax after a day trekking in the Colca Canyon and boasts a large variety of best quality liquors, cocktails and refreshments. Room service is also available between 06.00 and 22.00 where guests can choose to dine in the privacy of their own room, or on their terrace overlooking the Colca Canyon.
The Spa Samay takes its name from the ancient Inca language, Quecha, and means 'rest'. The four treatment rooms offer a range of treatments inspired by the Andean culture, and created using indigenous products from the Colca Valley and the highlands of Peru.
