Trader Vic's is still going strong, its famed pupus and umbrellaed polychromatic drinks are an exotic contrast to the Spatenbrau and bratwurst in the cellar.
The breakfast room not only provides a great European breakfast but a start to the day with a beautiful view of the Cathedral. After a hectic day of sightseeing, shopping or doing business the Hotel Bayerischer Hof wants you to be entertained and entertain they do. Accommodations come in five styles: English, Bavarian rustic, African colonial, designer modern and traditional pastel. All have phones, TVs with Internet access, concealed minibars, plush duvets topping firm beds, and paneled or marble baths with phones, hair dryers, WCs and top-grade fixtures.
Exterior rooms are properly double-glazed, and courtyard units are even quieter. The Bavarian-style studios are particularly beautiful, with lavish ceilings and woodwork, authentic antique furnishings, carved four-posters and paneled baths. The 45 themed suites boast whirlpool tubs.
Room service is offered at all hours, and the front desk staff aims to please. Turndown service arrives nightly. Laundry service and both smoke-free and wheelchair accessible rooms are likewise available. Security includes surveillance, 24-hour staffing and key card entrances to rooms.
