Amanoi
Amanoi is a unique contemporary beachside resort that offers total privacy in beautifully designed accommodations that are located in individual pavilions. Many of the pavilions offer private pools which we highly recommend. The resort is about 75 minutes by car from Nha Trang airport (roundtrip private transfers are included in the rates). Nha Trang is an hour’s flight from Ho Chi Minh City. Aman is named for the Sanskrit word meaning peace and noi, place. Hence “peaceful place” is very appropriate for this tranquil retreat.
Even the minimum accommodation is 1000 feet. There totally private with perfectly controlled quiet air-conditioning. There are two sides of the pavilion that can be opened by pushing the enormous pocket doors that are on both sides into the walls. Ceiling fans augment the breeze that often comes through. . The views are either of the surrounding hills, lake or sea. All are stunning. If you opt for a private pool, these are not plunge pools but real infinity pools, heated and with underwater lighting for night swimming. The interior of the pavilion is divided in to three areas. The living and bed area are open plan and the area where the bath is also opened but can be closed off from the rest with two pocket doors. The bath area has double sinks with a large bath between them facing the garden. On one side is a closed w/c and on the other a rain shower which has two sliding doors. One facing into the bath and the other when opened facing the garden so that in effect you could shower outdoors. Rooms are cared for continuously through out the day and staff magically knows when you’re not there. Even the ice is replenished. TV’s are large and there are multiple stations worldwide to pick from. Wi-Fi is excellent.
There are no cars and all of the resort is accessed by golf cart. One call and one of the many staff picks you up to take you anywhere on the resort grounds.
The main dining room and bar is housed in the main pavilion of the property. The ceilings are soaring with no walls bringing the outside in. The food is excellent with both Vietnamese specialties and continental cuisine offered. Staff is hands on and if you order one thing for breakfast they’ll probably ask you if you want the same the next morning
The private white sand beach is large enough that it never feels crowded. Amanoi has the beach chairs perfectly spaced so that your privacy is never compromised. Immediately behind and raised but still technically on the beach is the beach club pool. Behind that is the beach club restaurant. If you’re a beach person you would never have to leave here. The outdoor showers even have hot and cold water controls. All beach services are offered. Wi-Fi is excellent here as well. All non-motorized water sports are offered on a complementary basis including snorkeling equipment.
Every day there is daily Yoga class at 8AM. Private classes can also be arranged. The gym is top notch. State-of-art cardio, free weights and every machine you’ll need to have a complete work out, with a view. The spa at Amanoi are all free standing pavilions; one just for steam and sauna. This pavilion is reserved just for you or with a partner. It has a steam room, sauna, hot-tub and cold plunge pool. When it’s time for your massage the therapist knocks on the door and escorts you to another pavilion.
