Mandarin Oriental Tokyo

The dramatic first impression of your arrival at Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo will remain with you throughout your stay. Our extraordinary lobby surrounded by glass, has been voted the best in the world by first class travellers. Sped 38 floors up by private elevator you step out and virtually into a panorama of Tokyo city. That stunning sight is offered to our guests at every opportunity; bringing a remarkable sense of space to all our rooms and suites, serving as a spectacular backdrop to our restaurants and making a visit to our spa in the sky a journey to heaven. At street level, key destinations are within easy reach as our address in Nihonbashi is literally the centre of Tokyo.

The predominant feel throughout our hotel, which is particularly valued in our rooms and suites, is an extraordinary sense of space. Not only are they some of the largest in Japan, the boundaries of the rooms disolve with the expanse of glass walls and endless views across the city. The futuristic luxury of the interiors illustrate our defining style; extreme comfort whilst reflecting the country’s characteristics. Fabrics and textiles used throughout the rooms are special creations capturing the Japanese reverence for nature. Our entertainment and communication technology is of the highest specification including wide LCD televisions and wireless internet.

I had a brief, but very wonderful stay, at this ultra-chic and beautiful property. All of the public areas are artistically decorated using many of the woods, ceramics and fabrics found in Japan. The guest rooms are all elegant and luxurious from the standard rooms up to the deluxe suites. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the food (don't miss the breakfast buffet!) is truly delicious. Located in the heart of Tokyo this is a real "gem".
