The Mandarin Oriental
The Mandarin Oriental Tokyo is situated within the top floors of the state-of-the-art Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower. The main reception area affords breathtaking views of the cityscape and sky. Most oversized guestrooms are 50 square meters in size, and some are with spectacular views via large floor to ceiling windows. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Tokyo is a destination in itself. Silent corridors lead off to a selection of treatment rooms and private spa suites. This wonderful Mandarin is a luxurious addition to one of the world's great cities.

Taking luxury to new heights, Tokyo’s Mandarin Oriental hotel has been hosting high-society weddings for over 40 years.
The hotel’s unique wedding chapel, the Sanctuary, can accommodate up to 120 guests. Special lighting effects enliven its natural design of wood, stone and water. Other choice settings are also available including the grand expanse of the pillar-less ballroom or the historic warmth of the paneled Oak room. In total, there are 13 different rooms to choose from.
Every facility required is available within the hotel from hair dressing and makeup, wedding dress design, to top quality photographers.
Executive Chef, Hidemasa Yamamoto oversees a staff of 100 to create extraordinary and impressive dining experiences for your celebration. He has been lauded throughout Europe and the USA where he presided over presidential inaugural balls and first ladies’ lunches.

I had a brief, but very wonderful stay, at this ultra-chic and beautiful property. All of the public areas are artistically decorated using many of the woods, ceramics and fabrics found in Japan. The guest rooms are all elegant and luxurious from the standard rooms up to the deluxe suites. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the food (don't miss the breakfast buffet!) is truly delicious. Located in the heart of Tokyo this is a real "gem".
